Tips when signing with
your baby or toddler:

  • Keep it simple.  Start with 3-5 signs by incorporating them into your daily routine. Repetition and consistency is key.
  • Sign in their field of vision. Make sure your child can see your hands, mouth and face as you sign to them.
  • Children should never feel pressured to sign. Do not force their hands.
  • Watch Baby Signing Time videos together!  You'll find select clips on YouTube. Access the Complete Library by signing up for a 14-day Free Trial of My Signing Time here.
  • Be patient and don't forget to have FUN! Incorporate signs into the songs you sing and books you read together. Signing should feel relaxed, natural and fun!
